The problem with long forms
A wall of fields signals work. Respondents bounce before they start. Breaking a form into one question per screen reduces perceived effort and keeps momentum.
What actually moves completion
- Ask the easy questions first.
- Put sensitive fields (email) last.
- Prefer choices over free text.
- Show a progress bar.
Formly bakes these defaults in so you don't have to think about them.
Measure it
Watch your funnel: views → starts → submits. Small wording changes can swing completion by double digits.
