Connect Formly to n8n

Works immediately using n8n’s native Webhook node — no custom app required.

  1. 1

In n8n, create a new workflow and add a "Webhook" trigger node. Set the method to POST and copy the Production URL.

  2. 2

In Formly, open your form → Connect → Webhooks → Add webhook. Paste the n8n Webhook URL and save. Copy the signing secret shown once.

  3. 3

Click "Test" in Formly to send a sample payload. In n8n, you should see the test event arrive on the Webhook node.

  4. 4

Add downstream nodes in n8n (Google Sheets, Slack, HubSpot, etc.) mapping fields from the JSON body’s "answers" array.

  5. 5

Activate the n8n workflow. Every completed Formly response now flows through automatically — with an HMAC X-Formly-Signature header you can verify.

Verifying the signature

Each request includes X-Formly-Signature: t=<ts>,v1=<hex>. Recompute HMAC_SHA256(secret, `${ts}.${rawBody}`) and compare to v1.
